BABY EYE is a German company based in Stuttgart that specializes in the development and production of contrast books for babies. Founded in 2013, we place great emphasis on design and scientific findings on children's visual development.
Products:
BABY EYE produces high-quality cardboard picture books that are specifically tailored to the visual needs of babies and toddlers. In our books, we use black and white contrasts and bright primary colors to support vision development and provide visual stimuli that soothe babies and stimulate their interest.
Scientific background:
Our products are based on studies that show that babies see differently than adults. Newborns have blurred vision and prefer high-contrast images with bright primary colors. While hearing, taste, smell and touch develop in the womb, sight is the only sense that develops primarily after birth and is strongly shaped by the baby's visual experiences. Regular visual stimulation through our books supports the development of the sense of sight in the first years of life.
Founder:
The founder Agnieszka Sawczyn, a German-Polish illustrator and architect, was inspired by her own children. She noticed that contrasting shadows calmed her restless daughter and developed the first contrast books for babies.
Mission:
At BABY EYE, our goal is to promote early childhood development through educationally valuable contrast books and to support parents in the development of their children.
