Badeente Lady Marian Gummiente

Lady Marian is a fictional character from the Robin Hood saga who is often portrayed as his lover. She is not mentioned in the earliest medieval versions of the legend, but only appears in some plays in the 16th century. She is sometimes associated with the May festivals celebrated in spring and is considered a courageous and independent woman who is both known for her beauty as well as her loyalty to Robin Hood. Depending on the version of the story, she has different backgrounds and roles. Sometimes she is described as a shepherdess, sometimes as a noblewoman or the daughter of the former Sheriff of Nottingham. She often aids Robin Hood in his fight against the sheriff and his henchman Guy of Gisborne, by giving him information or disguising herself as a night watchman and helping the poor. In some stories, she is courted by Guy of Gisborne or forced into marrying him, but she always resists him and remains loyal to Robin Hood. In other stories, she ends up marrying Robin Hood or tragically dies at his hands or those of his enemies.
