One passion - one family - one tradition
In 1916 - the First World War was in progress - the then 14-year-old Josef Eder began an apprenticeship with a spice and grocery store in Oberndorf near Salzburg. In the 1930s he and his wife took over a grocery store in Lochen am See.
Since he was fascinated by the smells and scents of the wide world - which he had known from an early age - his son Helmut decided to start an apprenticeship as a druggist and later found a tea and spice shop in Mattighofen. He set himself the goal of only offering the highest quality spices and teas.
This philosophy was inherited from his wife and son.

Even today we only use selected ingredients in order to be able to offer you the best quality. This has not changed for generations.
The spice mixtures we offer are mixed in-house according to recipes from all over the world. With a lot of love we create new mixtures again and again. We do not use flavor enhancers and guarantee you the original taste of the spices.
