At tinystories, we believe stories spark creativity. Whether spoken, written, or visual, stories inspire us, connect us, and open the door to imagination.
At the heart of tinystories is founder and Dutch artist Tiny de Vries.
Raised in a creative family, Tiny was a quiet dreamer, deeply sensitive to the world around her. Als ihre geliebte Schwester unerwartet starb, verschwand der Regenbogen aus ihrem Leben. She went to live with her father, who gave her a coin and said:
“Choose the light. Celebrate life. Explore the world. If you ever need me, use this coin to call me.”
And so she did. After graduating from the University of the Arts in Utrecht, she moved to Indonesia. Living and studying art in Bandung became a turning point—a time of healing and artistic awakening. A teacher there recognized her inner world, and Tiny began to paint her story. Painting became her language.
Today, in her atelier, Tiny creates a poetic dreamworld—one filled with feminine strength, quiet beauty, nature, and little wonders. Her art is soft, layered, and emotional. Each piece tells a story, often paired with a poem written by Tiny.
Her work invites you to slow down. To breathe, to feel, and to find beauty in the imperfect.
