True North is an innovative athleisure brand with a special focus on sustainability. With True North, we have made it our business to process recycled and environmentally friendly functional fabrics in addition to our specialty in organic cotton.
True North stands for functional clothing that is breathable and therefore ideal for sports and outdoors. But it is so simple and beautiful that it can also be worn for basics in everyday life - with a particularly clear conscience.
For True North we process sustainable materials such as:
Recycled polyester: before the PET plastic bottles end up in the garbage or in the sea, we process them into fashionable clothing. Certified by the Global Recycled Standard (GRS).
Lyocell / Tencel: a genuinely environmentally friendly fiber, made from wood cellulose, which requires hardly any water and no harmful by-products are created. The cultivation takes place without irrigation and without the use of pesticides. The end product is a durable and absorbent fabric suitable for sensitive skin.
Organic cotton: our proven and GOTS-certified organic cotton from Turkey, GMO, pesticide and insecticide free.
Our first collection includes sports basics for jogging, cycling and yoga classes, well-fitting underwear and nice fleece tops. For us, sustainability not only refers to the resource-saving extraction of fibers, but also to the longevity of our products.
In addition to the environmentally friendly factors for the production of the fibers, the True North products are subject to the same strict criteria that apply to our LEELA and ALBERO products, namely to be fair and socially traded and to save CO2.
Last but not least, True North is part of our ALBERO and LEELA COTTON family, which has been successful and enthusiastic in the sustainability and organic business for over 25 years. Our long-term production partners in Turkey are just as convinced of their cause.
