A matter of the heart
Who are the people behind Ecobain?
There are for example Ermine, Sevcan, Gülay and Rukiye. The cloths are woven on traditional looms in the heart of Turkey, knotted and tied by hand. Each knot is unique :-)
With my direct partnership with the local families, I guarantee fair and social working conditions where the women earn money independently. This helps to further develop women's rights (power to the women!) and supports small and medium-sized businesses. There are enough faceless factories overseas as it is.
Here in Bad Homburg, my two children and my husband help me by packing, helping with photography and giving me ideas and the necessary backing in the "home office". The team is completed by my creative partners in social media, without whom nobody would know about my products. And that since 2018: Thank you!
How did it all start?
It was actually quite spontaneous. I myself am a passionate sauna user. In my hometown there is a very good one with an attached hamam, the classic Ottoman bath. The hammam master there had brought some hammam towels (so-called pestemals) from his home country and advertised them. And that's when it hit me.
The towels are practical, light, space-saving and absorbent. As a mother of two children, I had a direct benefit - the beach bags were lighter and the washing machine was only half as full ;-) The lower weight with the same absorbency as terry cloth saves electricity and washing powder with every wash. Hence the name "ECOBAIN" (French ecological bath)

Regional roots - sustainable support
Long-term, binding cooperation and support of my partners is very important to me and the basis for mutual success. And not only with the weaving families who weave and knot my cloths, but also with my partners here in the region.
For example, the Bad Homburg Sentinels, who were recently honored again for their excellent youth and integration work.
