SteadySense is a young, dynamic start-up that wants to bring medical routines into the 21st century and change the world for good. The Graz-based start-up has been revolutionising body temperature measurement using sensor patches since 2016. Two product families are currently on the market. Both are based on continuous temperature measurement, but for completely different purposes: for detecting a woman's fertile days, and for monitoring fever curves.

The founding of SteadySense was inspired by his time in Silicon Valley and his first-hand experience of the start-up culture in the USA: Werner Koele was employed for many years by a world market leader in the field of semiconductors and system solutions, where he developed various chips & sensors. His employer at the time then entrusted him with the discovery of new business areas for a highly temperature-sensitive sensor chip. The first thought was, of course, the development of a clinical thermometer - a goal that has been achieved today with the smart thermometer STEADYTEMP®. Nevertheless, he initially decided on a different path. When he discussed the matter with his friends, Dr Michael Schenk, one of Austria's most renowned fertility experts, gave him a better idea: he was missing a reliable tool for determining ovulation as a home application for his patients. femSense® was born!
Two years later, the pandemic called for the development of a continuous fever thermometer, and requests from all over the world followed. "STEADYTEMP® Temperature & Symptom Tracker" has been CE-certified as a medical device since the beginning of 2021 and is distributed throughout Europe. The continuous clinical thermometer is not only an asset for private households. STEADYTEMP is designed for use in hospitals and care facilities and is also integrated in the new cobas® pulse system from Roche Diagnostics and ilviCLINIC.
