Hibrido de Timor (HdT) is a naturally occurring Arabica/Robusta hybrid that is inherently resilient to pests and climatic changes. We obtain the beans for our light roast from a single cooperative in Hatuhei in the Ermera region of the island state of Timor-Leste. The cooperative consists of 25 small farmers and is managed by the small farmer Carlos de Deus. There the coffee is sustainably harvested by hand in wild coffee forests, bought and processed by our partners at top local prices, shipped and finally roasted promptly for sale in Berlin.
