Harvested around the corner instead of carted through the world!
REGIONIQUE is the first food brand that consistently records kilometers and places great value on transparency. The word creation from the English words region and uniqueness transports a powerful mission. REGIONIQUE provides buyers with more comprehensive information on the packaging than any other brand, and thus plays a pioneering role in retail. The REGIONIQUE product range consists of basic foods such as muesli and pasta.
Mileage balance provides fact-based decision-making
The individualized QR code leads to a transparency platform that shows how many kilometers the product has covered with all its components. Bircher muesli, for example, travels less than 1,000 km, while other commercially available Bircher muesli cover more than 40,000 km. The focus on kilometers is due to the complex issue of sustainability. But that's not enough, because most of the emissions occur during cultivation. That is why REGIONIQUE obtains the ingredients as far as possible from regenerative and organic agriculture. Thyme and peppermint, oats and field beans stand between the strawberries used to support biodiversity and soil life.
Low Mile as a form of nutrition
Low calories, low fat or low carb are learned. Low Mile is new. With this, REGIONIQUE extends the health approach to the environment. “With our low mile concept, we offer the lowest mileage balance for processed products. In addition, we integrate regional and seasonal ingredients, so that the kilometer balance goes beyond our own products," says founder and managing director Sabine Bingenheimer-Zimmermann. We convey how Essen works with kilometers. Because with a changed awareness of the origin of ingredients , the lifestyle moves into a colorful picture without prohibitions.Your own kitchen is becoming a creative hotspot.
The idea for REGIONIQUE came from a purely private interest. The founder wanted to fill her own menu with as few kilometers as possible - and in the process she found out that there was no local muesli. The extremely long transport distances frightened the business graduate, who worked for Südzucker and Merck for years: “Food is eaten in five minutes, but has traveled halfway around the world. Responsibility looks different." Several large manufacturers even assured her that muesli was not only made from German ingredients. But that didn't stop her, on the contrary: she talked to farmers until she found ingredients and manufacturers who made the food with them can produce transparently according to their quality requirements.
